What is Merkaba? Merkaba Meditation Benefits

Updated: Sep 14, 2023

Merkaba or Merkabah (mer-KA-ba) symbolizes body, light, and spirit.

This Egyptian word can be split into three components for deeper translation.

· Mer: ‘Mer’ refers to the two rotating fields of light within you that form when you engage in certain breathing patterns

· Ka: ‘Ka’ represents one’s spirit

· Ba: Lastly, ‘ba’ refers to your physical body or how your spirit interprets its reality it’s apart of

The very word embodies its meaning...our body, our spirit connected and surrounded by light or energy. Simply put,

Merkaba meditation is a mental and spiritual experience that allows you to connect with your higher self on a conscious level.

Merkaba Energy Field

Merkaba is a 17-meters-in-diameter energy field around the human physical body, consisting of 2 counter-rotating tetrahedrons, spinning with the speed of light. It is comprised of precise sacred geometries that align the body, mind, and heart together.

For the majority of people, these energy fields have slowed down or stopped spinning completely due to a lack of attention and use.

They say if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it:

That’s also the case for your Merkaba.

However, with Merkaba meditation, you can rebalance your Merkabic field.

Although it can’t usually be seen with the naked eye, a Merkabic field involves two intersecting tetrahedrons or pyramids that spin in opposite directions.

When this field is reactivated and spinning properly, it is called a Merkaba.

The two rotating star tetrahedrons shape of Merkaba is considered by ancient and some modern spiritualists followers of mysticism to be an illustration of the invisible energy that surrounds the body.

Divinity and Purity

The Merkaba represents pure divine energy, constantly spinning, harmonizing, balancing, flowing, moving, and expanding in all four directions at all times supporting you where you want to go. It is said we can travel via a Merkaba into any spiritual dimension as it is infinitely circulating the flow of energy from the divine trinity with all elements, in all directions and all at the same time.

Balancing Femininity and Masculinity

It harmonizes male and female energy, so understanding how to work with it can literally allow you to manifest all desires.

The Merkaba features two electromagnetic fields that are based on the Law of Gender.

One electrical spiral is male, while the other electrical spiral is female. The triangle on the bottom of the Merkaba is symbolic of femininity and it rotates counter-clockwise. The top symbolizes masculinity and spins in a clockwise direction. The two spin in opposite directions and all this happens simultaneously. Therefore, it’s said that the symbol is a combination of opposing energies: feminine and masculine, cosmos and the earth. These energies come together in perfect balance, the union of which results in the activation of protection and light around the body which transports one’s awareness to much higher dimensions.

The symbol also reminds people of the potential power that can be yielded when they find balance and unite their own energies.

Divine Light Vehicle

Merkaba (also spelled Merkabah) is the divine light vehicle used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realm. The Merkaba actually represents the way we perceive ourselves and the universe. This is how our perception limits the Merkaba: If we believe that we are multi-dimensional beings, unhindered by time or space, then that is what will be and that is what our Merkaba will be.

Since we are creators, and we can create what we want into our lives – The Merkaba will be a projection of our beliefs about our creative powers.

We can program the Merkaba using our logic, and then our Merkaba will be limited by our logic: If we will believe something is logical then the Merkaba will be able to do it.

If we believe that it isn’t logical – then our Merkaba will not be able to do it either.

This is why it’s better to program the Merkaba intuitively, using our feminine creative side. This way we avoid using our logical male side, and our Merkaba will be able to do anything, unhindered by time or space. The Merkaba will become an instrument, through which we can create the lives we want for ourselves.

Merkaba can be activated using breathing techniques and meditation. Simply put, the Merkaba will support you no matter where you wish to go in life.

The SRI YANTRA depicted in Hindu & Buddhist mandalas is a tetrahedral 3D structure, which completed in 3D forms a Flower of Life form from the top view of the mandala. The Flower of Life has the chakratic Tree of Life inside it to show the human chakra system.

Inside the Sri Yantra tetrahedral is the 5 pointed Star of David often depicted in Judaism, Kaballah, and Buddhism. Learning to understand and work with our emotions is the key to being able to tap into universal consciousness and its knowledge in your Merkaba. The thing that keeps people from being self-aware of where merkabalistic creation powers in this hologram are allowing their negative and destructive emotions to overpower them in their own creations. Fear constructs are only mirrors to allow the creator of their own experience the ability to see the polar opposite of their thoughts and emotions to decide what resonates within them for the universe to manifest the next set of synchronistic events to project back to be experienced. Always living from within your heart where the black hole of your Merkaba lies is to always choose the most loving options so more unified and positive experiences manifest synchronisticly.

How To Activate Merkaba

Merkaba can be ignited only through the act of meditation.

By gaining Merkaba, you can reach a new potential in life as it opens your body, mind, and spirit to new experiences.

Activation of your Merkaba is essential for Ascension. The MER*KA*BA is a rotating, geometric, crystalline Light-Energy field that extends around the body. It is a visualization and breathing technique that activates the Human Light Body It assists in moving you out of judgment into Unity Consciousness and discernment. Sacred Geometry is the language in which God has written the Universe. Visualize and use breath techniques to activate the Human Light Body to shift into Unity Consciousness!

During this meditation, there are 18 breaths, where the first 6 breaths are for balancing the polarity and the next 7 breaths for proper pranic (energy) flow through the entire body. The further breaths are for shifting your consciousness from the third to the fourth dimension, and finally, the last of the meditation consists of 3 breaths and is for recreating the rotating Merkaba energy field around and within the body.

This breathing allows you to make contact with your higher self so that a confident and clear spiritual guidance emerges within you.

The 18th breath is not taught. It is considered that the last breath represents the bond between an individual’s current self and his spiritual higher self. This breath is not taught by any spiritual teachers; instead, it is the higher self that teaches this last breath.

Merkaba Meditation Tips

When you're first starting out, this isn't an easy practice.

But with time, you'll find you get better and better results.

So here are a few of the best ways to make the most out of your Merkaba meditation sessions:

Find a Comfortable, Quiet Place to Meditate

Meditation in all forms requires concentration.

Attempting to meditate in a loud or uncomfortable spot can cause you to lose focus.

That said, find somewhere indoors or outdoors that’s fairly quiet, neither too cold nor too warm, and comfortable enough to sit during the meditative process.

If you have to, opt for noise-canceling headphones or earplugs and/or a cushion to sit on.

Practice For Perfection

Performing Merkaba meditation, like many physical arts and practices, requires practice, self-determination, and patience.

Don’t be alarmed if after engaging in a few rounds of Merkaba meditation that you don’t receive the results you expect.

Just like with learning to tie your shoes or ride a bike, there’s a learning curve to engaging in all types of meditation.

Put your body, mind, and spirit into each breath.

Don’t Rush the Process

Whether it’s you’re first time engaging in Merkaba meditation or something you’ve done a dozen times, never rush each meditation session:

• Think of Merkaba meditation like writing with a pencil: The faster you write, the sloppier your handwriting, and the harder it will be to read your writing afterward.

• With Merkaba meditation, the faster you perform, the worse the results will be.

• Always take your time, and follow the process in full.

Give it Time

Upon first engaging in Merkaba meditation, you may also feel a bit uncomfortable.

This is normal as you slowly navigate the art of meditation and achieve higher consciousness.

For first-timers or those struggling with Merkaba meditation, it’s recommended that you engage in other forms of meditation or breathing exercises first.

Other forms of meditation include gratitude meditation, Vedic meditation, and guided meditation.

If You Lose Focus, Stop and Start Again

Especially during breaths fifteen through eighteen, if you find yourself getting dizzy or losing focus, it’s important to stop for a brief moment before starting again.

It’s normal for Merkaba meditation newbies to experience this.

However, it’ll get easier with time as you gain consciousness, concentration, and understanding of Merkaba meditation.

Engage in Merkaba Meditation Daily

Just like eating, sleeping, and brushing your teeth, engaging in Merkaba meditation requires daily work.

Meditating one time may provide you short-term stress relief and help you work towards higher consciousness.

However, you can lose progress the longer you go without practice.

There is at least one other factor that is even more crucial than learning the meditation itself – the opening of the heart and the experiencing of Divine Love.

It is the Unconditional or Divine Love that primarily allows the energy field to become a living field of light. It gives us the possibility of creating any kind of harmonious reality we desire. As you raise your vibration with love, your Higher Self is able to become embodied and guide your Golden Merkaba in the manifestation of your soul’s purpose for this lifetime
