The New England Choice Awards (NECA) 2025 is set to illuminate the region with an evening dedicated to recognizing excellence, leadership, and impact within the Indian American community. Organized by INE Multimedia, the highly anticipated annual gala will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Burlington Marriott, bringing together visionaries, entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers from across New England.

Created by Dr. Manju Sheth, President & CEO of INE Multimedia, and co-founded with Upendra Mishra, NECA has grown into one of the most prestigious community events in the region — celebrating individuals whose achievements inspire, uplift, and contribute to the collective progress of society. Supported by Anu Chitrapu, Mandy Pant, and Aditi Taylor, the event’s leadership continues to curate a platform that champions success, fosters community pride, and highlights meaningful contributions across fields.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Indra Nooyi, former CEO and Chairman of PepsiCo, widely recognized as one of the world’s most influential business leaders.

Nooyi’s remarkable career is a testament to visionary leadership, strategic insight, and compassionate stewardship. Under her guidance, PepsiCo not only achieved record-breaking growth but also became a model for sustainable and inclusive business practices. Beyond her corporate success, Nooyi’s commitment to mentorship, diversity, and philanthropy has inspired countless individuals, particularly women and young professionals, to pursue leadership with integrity and purpose.

From her early years in India to leading a global Fortune 500 company, Nooyi has consistently demonstrated how innovation, resilience, and ethical leadership can create meaningful, far-reaching impact. • Dr. Anil Chandraker – Excellence in Medicine and Community Service
  A globally recognized leader in transplantation medicine, Dr. Chandraker has transformed patient care, research, and medical education. His pioneering work in kidney and pancreas transplants, combined with decades of mentorship, has improved countless lives and set new standards in healthcare leadership.

• Judge Neil Sherring – Outstanding Contributions to Law and Justice
  A trailblazer in the Massachusetts legal system, Judge Sherring is celebrated for his commitment to fairness, inclusion, and equity. As the first Indian American appointed to the Massachusetts Housing Court, he has championed civil justice while inspiring the next generation of lawyers and public servants.

• Shadaj – Innovation and Impact in Arts and Culture
  Founded by Rajesh Godbole, Shadaj has become a cultural beacon, preserving Indian classical music while making it accessible to new audiences. Through immersive concerts, workshops, and collaborations with leading institutions, Shadaj bridges tradition and innovation, nurturing artistic growth across generations.

• Rajesh Godbole – Leadership and Entrepreneurship
  As an entrepreneur and cultural leader, Rajesh Godbole has demonstrated vision and dedication by creating platforms that foster creativity, cultural preservation, and community engagement. His work exemplifies the intersection of innovation, leadership, and societal impact.

• Dr. Gopala Dwarakanath, Chinmaya Boston – Community Leadership and Advocacy
  Founder of Chinmaya Mission Boston, Dr. Dwarakanath has devoted over three decades to spiritual, cultural, and educational leadership. His work has built a thriving community hub, empowering families and youth to connect with their heritage while fostering values of service and compassion.

• Sanjay Sarma – Technological Innovation and Education
  A pioneer at the intersection of technology and learning, Dr. Sarma, MIT professor and inventor, has revolutionized education globally. From RFID innovation to advancing accessible online learning, his work continues to shape the future of education and inspire innovation across industries.

• Naveen Pawar – Contributions to Business and Society
  Co-founder of Mighty Squirrel, Naveen Pawar has redefined entrepreneurship by blending innovation, creativity, and community impact. From craft brewing to inclusive business practices, his leadership demonstrates how passion and vision can drive both economic and social progress.
   

Behind the Selection and Production

The awardees were selected through a rigorous review process led by a distinguished judging panel, including Nirmala Garimella, Subrata Das, Shikha Singhal Merchia, Anshul Mehra, Shirish Nimgaonkar, and Gaugarin Oliver. Their expertise and insight ensured a fair and thoughtful evaluation of each nominee’s impact and achievements.
